Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr B Marshall, the trainer of Sugar Hit Johnny, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sugar Hit Johnny last raced on 12 October 2016. Mr Marshall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after spelling. Mr Marshall declared a new weight of 36.9 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sugar Hit Johnny last raced at 35.7 kgs.

Full Of Boloney went up with the lids and was slow to begin. Emi's Boy Murph and Senni Richard collided approaching the first turn. Rosie Sprite raced wide approaching the first turn. Maximum Melva, Major Dollar, Emi's Boy Murph and Senni Richard collided on the first turn, checking Full Of Boloney, Emi's Boy Murph and Maximum Melva, and severely checking Major Dollar.
