A pre-race sample was taken from Exford Lumpy.
Flying Mia, Amigo One, Good Luck Mark and Patty's Prince were slow to begin. Minka's Destiny, Popowski, Avatar Kelso and Paperback Writer collided on the first turn. Avatar Kelso and Paperback Writer collided entering the back straight. Minka's Destiny and Amigo One collided in the back straight. Flying Mia, Patty's Prince and Avatar Kelso approaching the second turn. Paperback Writer, Flying Mia, Patty's Prince and Avatar Kelso collided on the second turn checking Flying Mia. Popowski and Good Luck Mark collided approaching the home turn. Amigo One eased in the home straight. Amigo One was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triangle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
Avatar Kelso was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind foot. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Caulfield, the trainer of the greyhound Amigo One. Stewards deemed the performance of Amigo One unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Amigo One must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
