This race was rescheduled to start at 5:35PM.
A pre-race sample was taken from Barney Bubble.
Duff Bale was quick to begin. Barney Bubble and Lachlan's Rough collided soon after the start. Johnny Scull and Gabonia collided soon after the start, checking Gabonia. Duff Bale, Barney Bubble and Lachlan's Rough collided on the first turn, checking Barney Bubble. Johnny Scull checked off Lachlan's Rough approaching the second turn. Johnny Scull and Gabonia collided entering the back straight, checking Gabonia and severely checking Johnny Scull which tailed off.
Johnny Scull was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a twenty-one day stand down period was imposed.
