Why Not Will was slow to begin. Rostryca Campo crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Way Things Are and Gunai Chief. Gunai Chief checked off My Name's Lenny approaching the first turn. Miss Mona faltered on the first turn, checking Better Way. Miss Mona was tailed off as a result. Way Things Are checked off My Name's Lenny approaching the winning post.
Miss Mona was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
