Highfield La La was quick to begin.  Galloping Emma was slow to begin.  Kimanator and Bugatti Larger collided entering the back straight checking Kimanator and Galloping Emma.  Time Sent and Montoey Miss collided in the back straight and again on the second tun checking Time Sent.  Time Sent checked off Pyrenees Dynasty approaching the home turn.  Pyrenees Dynasty and Montoey Miss collided in the home straight checking Montoey Miss.

Mini Morgo, Bluehawk Burst, Sisco Blast and Horey's Girl were slow to begin.  Dunbro Charlie, Bluehawk Burst, Sisco Blast and Twisted Barrel collided soon after the start checking Bluehawk Burst and Sisco Blast.  Sisco Blast checked off Twisted Barrel on the first turn.  Mini Morgo, Horey's Girl, Twisted Barrel and Bluehawk Burst collided on the first turn checking Mini Morgo, Horey's Girl and Twisted Barrel.  Horey's Girl checked off Twisted Barrel on the home turn.

Horey's Girl was vetted following the event and no apparent injury was found.

Bedlum, Limburg Boyker, Ima Terror and Dark Corgi collided soon after the start checking Limburg Boyker and Ima Terror.  Dark Corgi checked off Scarlet Genie on the first turn.  Bedlum, Scarlet Genie and Pyrenees Diva collided on the first turn checking Pyrenees Diva and Scarlet Genie.  Scarlet Genie and Our Lilly raced wide in the home straight.  Ima Terror and Pyrenees Diva collided several times in the home straight.

Tear Away Kuda and Mick Rydian were slow to begin.  Tear Away Kuda, Stolen Gem, Kimmy Bale and India Pale collided approaching the home turn severely checking Tear Away Kuda, Stolen Gem and India Pale; Tear Away Kuda, Stolen Gem and India Pale tailed off as a result.  

Tear Away Kuda was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right and left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Trapani, the trainer of Madame Black regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Madame Black last raced on 5th September 2015.  Mr. Trapani stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after having its front right toe removed.

Lazza Mikado checked off He's Your Mate soon after the start.  Madame Black, College Graduate and Cairnlea Flash collided soon after the start checking College Graduate.  Nuggy Burger, Old Zebb, Madame Black and Cairnlea Flash collided on the first turn checking Nuggy Burger, Old Zebb, Madame Black, He's Your Mate and College Graduate.  Lazza Mikado, Cairnlea Flash and Cairnlea Bill collided on the second turn.  College Graduate checked off Nuggy Burger on the third turn.  Lazza Mikdao and Cairnlea Flash collided on the home turn.  College Graduate and He's Your Mate collided entering the home straight.  Cairnlea Flash checked off Lazza Mikado in the home straight.

Cyclone Rosie was quick to begin.  Leroy Tron, Holly Jane and Jem's Princess collided soon after the start checking Jem's Princess.  Leroy Tron, Holly Jane and Our Nico collided on the first turn checking Holly Jane and Our Nico.  Kilty's Tiger checked off Super Pablo approaching the home turn.  Our Nico raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Ryder, the trainer of Volksjager Blue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Volksjager Blue last raced on 19th September 2015.  Mr. Ryder stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after an extended spell due to poor performance.

Zac's A Sixpence checked off Got The Picture soon after the start.  Volksjager Blue checked off Dyna Drama on the first turn and collided with Zac's A Sixpence. Volksjager Blue, Zac's A Sixpence and Claretown Tex collided entering the back straight checking Zac's A Sixpence and Claretown Tex.  Volksjager Blue, Fiery Fox and Got The Picture collided on the third turn.  Hard Merchandise and Claretown Tex collided on the third turn checking Hard Merchandise.  Marle Bale, Hard Merchandise and Claretown Tex collided approaching the home turn checking Marle Bale and Hard Merchandise.  Hard Merchandise galloped on the heels of Marle Bale approaching the home turn checking Marle Bale which lost ground as a result.  Volksjager Blue and Pason Sander collided in the home straight.  Got The Picture and Zac's A Sixpence raced wide in the home straight.

Marle Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Ginto Zac was a late scratching at 1:41pm by Order of Stewards.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Wynd, the trainer of Ginto Zac regarding the circumstances pertaining to the greyhound being a late scratching. Mr. Wynd stated that due to an issue with his mobile phone he did not read an official text sent by GRV, which had notified him that Ginto Zac had gained a start. Mr. Wynd added that he subsequently checked the fields on the internet and was under the impression that Ginto Zac did not gain a start. Acting under GAR 86 (o) Stewards charged Mr. Wynd with negligence, in that he failed to present Ginto Zac to race when it had gained a start. Mr. Wynd pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Wynd was found guilty and fined the sum of $250. 

She's Got Grace was slow to begin.  Delta Miss and Ava Crowder collided soon after the start checking Ava Crowder.  Kiwi Invasion, Bigshow Jethro and Outlaw Clyde collided approaching the first turn.  Kiwi Invasion, Bigshow Jethro and Delta Miss collided on the first turn checking Kiwi Invasion and Delta Miss.

Buy Me was quick to begin.  Major Dollar and Casino Star collided soon after the start checking Casino Star.  Tricky Trey and Buy Me collided on the first turn checking Buy Me, Road Driller and Major Dollar.  Spooked checked off Hoosh Nar approaching the home turn.  Hoosh Nar and Buy Me collided several times from approaching the home turn to the winning post severely checking both greyhounds.

Hoosh Nar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Starbright Girl was quick to begin.  Dark Tantra was slow to begin.  Rufus Flywheel and Roll 'Em Mighty collided approaching the first turn.  Miss Capone, Maximum Melva, Magic Gold, Rufus Flywheel and Starbright Girl collided on the first turn checking Magic Gold and Rufus Flywheel and severely checking Jill Laker and Starbright Girl.  Dark Tantra and Miss Capone collided approaching the home turn.  Starbright Girl eased approaching the winning post.

Starbright Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Teuma, the trainer of the greyhound Starbright Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Starbright Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Teuma pleaded not guilty to the charge, Starbright Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jill Laker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
