Supplementary Reported Traralgon 6/3/2017
The greyhound Sorry Maurie was presented for vetting at today's meeting. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shin soreness injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Miss L. Repici was issued with a warning for leaving the Traralgon meeting on 6/3/2017 for leaving the course without steward’s approval.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Connor the trainer of Merchant Prince regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Merchant Prince last raced on 23 October 2016. Mr. D. Connor stated that the greyhound has had a change of kennel.
Pacific Power was slow to begin.
Rodeo and Merchant Prince collided soon after the start checking Rodeo. Rodeo and Pacific Power collided on the first turn causing Pacific Power to race wide. Harambe's Might checked off Give Away King on the second turn. Merchant Prince weakened over the concluding stages.
Merchant Prince was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind foot abrasion, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
