Stewards spoke to Mr B Toner,trainer of Tax Relief regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.Tax Relief last raced on 24 November 2016 and is returning after a right monkey muscle injury.

Ishmy Girl and Ishmy Brother were quick to begin. 

Bad Size and Ruby Red Eden were slow to begin.  Woodleigh Bond and Our Gal Livy collided approaching the first turn checking Woodleigh Bond.  Our Gal Livy checked off Ishmy Brother approaching the first turn.  Woodleigh Bond and Our Gal Livy collided on the first turn checking Woodleigh Bond.  Aremac Igor and Bad Size collided on the first turn checking Aremac Igor, Bad Size and Tax Relief.  Aremac Igor galloped on Bad Size on the first turn checking Aremac Igor and severely checking Bad Size which stumbled checking Woodleigh Bond.  Ruby Red Eden galloped on Aremac Igor approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Bad Size was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness on the left hind, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Select Casey was quick to begin.  Lakeview Maisey, Beetee and Zipping Foy were slow to begin.  Lakeview Maisey eased soon after the start and subsequently tailed off.  Lakeview Bruta and Beetee collided on the first turn.  Lady Ching and Doused In Mud  collided on the first turn checking Doused In Mud.  Select Casey and Lady Ching collided approaching the home turn.  Doused In Mud checked off Zipping Foy on the home turn.

Whelan, the representative of the greyhound Lakeview Maisey regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start.  Lakeview Maisey was vetted and after being re vetted following event 4 it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.   Acting under GAR 69(B)(1)  stewards charged Lakeview Maisey with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment  (by reason of injury).  Mr. Whelan pleaded guilty to the charge.  Lakeview Maisey was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Miranlou was quick to begin.  Citrus Kiss and Caro's Arrow collided soon after the start checking Caro's Arrow.  Citrus Kiss checked off Miranlou approaching the first turn.  Citrus Kiss checked off Horizon approaching the second turn.  Citrus Kiss and Caro's Arrow collided approaching the second turn checking Citrus Kiss.

Horizon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to both hind feet, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mars Rising, Hail Galo Girl and Ninetymile Lucky were slow to begin.  Fawn Nova checked off Premier Jess on the first turn.  Mars Rising and Spotted Opal collided on the first turn checking Hail Galo Girl and Ninetymile Lucky and severely checking Spotted Opal.  Ninetymile Lucky galloped on Fawn Nova on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Hail Galo Girl and Ninetymile Lucky collided approaching the home turn checking Ninetymile Lucky.  Kept In Suspense raced wide on the home turn.

Zipping Nadia and Top Shot Jack were quick to begin.  Remember Jess and Partial Defence were slow to begin.  Order In Line was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Wild Hunny checked off Destructo Rat soon after the start.  Top Shot Jack and Destructo Rat collided on the first turn checking Destructo Rat.  Remember Jess checked off Destructo Rat entering the back straight.  Wild Hunny galloped on Partial Defence entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Partial Defence crossed to the rail on the second turn checking Order In Line.  Wild Hunny and Order In Line raced wide on the home turn.  Top Shot Jack eased in the home straight and collided with Shy Freddie.

Top Shot Jack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left front toe injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Watts the representative of the greyhound Top Shot Jack regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Top Shot Jack with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Watts pleaded guilty to the charge, Top Shot Jack was found guilty and suspended the greyhound  for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

White Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have neck soreness and a bruised right hind toe, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. O. McGovern, the trainer of Our Real Deal declared a new weight of 34.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Our Real Deal last raced at 32.7kgs.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Supa Shalala trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 28.8kgs,  the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.57,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of  10.50 lengths.  Supa Shalala was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Clyde's Classy trialled over the 440m from box 1,  weight 34.9kgs,  the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.   The time of the trial was 25.57,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths.   Clyde's Classy was Cleared.

Satisfactory Whelping Trial -  Stewards spoke to Mrs. D. Johnston the trainer of Zelemar Rose regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Zelemar Rose last raced on 27th February 2016.  Mrs Johnston stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following whelping and spell.   Zelemar Rose trialled over the 440m from box 6,  weight 28.4kgs,  the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.57, the greyhound was beaten by a margin 4.75 lengths.   Zelemar Rose was Cleared.
