Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Under The Doona.
Riclesky, Doused In Mud and Santana were slow to begin. Riclesky and Sprint Tee collided soon after the start severely checking Sprint Tee. Under The Doona crossed to the inside approaching the first turn checking Bulk Cairns and Titanium Boy and severely checking Riclesky. Titanium Boy eased approaching the home turn. Titanium Boy and Sprint Tee raced wide on the home turn. Titanium Boy eased in the home straight.
Riclesky was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left and right hind feet and an injury to its left front toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Titanium Boy was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Ferguson, the trainer of the greyhound Titanium Boy regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Titanium Boy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Ferguson pleaded guilty to the charge. Titanium Boy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
