A pre-race sample was taken from Johnny Wolf.
Johnny Wolf, Saloon Princess and Lulu Noir were slow to begin. Bandit Brad and Brodie's Mullet collided on the first turn checking Brodie's Mullet, Lucky's Spirit, Kiyoshi, Mr. Nasty Time and Johnny Wolf. Kiyoshi and Mr. Nasty Time collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.
