Steward's Report
Rolling was a late scratching at 3.49p.m. due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hold On Belena was slow to begin.
Hold On Belena checked off Solar Mocha soon after the start. Allen Ichiro checked off Solar Mocha approaching the home turn. Zipping Kirby and Allen Ichiro collided entering the home straight. Allen Ichiro failed to pursue the lure with due committment in the home straight and collided with Solar Mocha.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G Dailly, the handler of the greyhound Allen Ichiro regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Allen Ichiro was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to a left hind toe, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Allen Ichiro with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr G Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Allen Ichiro was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
