Our Sweetie and Magic Euphoria were quick to begin. Casta Bale, Cousin's By Five and Shrek's Typhoon were slow to begin. Iggy Wiggy, Acrostar and Cousin's By Five collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Iggy Wiggy, and checking Acrostar and Cousin's By Five. Cousin's By Five, Shrek's Typhoon and Little Big Chief collided on the first turn, severely checking Acrostar, Casta Bale, Cousin's By Five, Shrek's Typhoon and Little Big Chief. Acrostar and Casta Bale collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. 

Cousin's By Five was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tail injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Don's Disaster.

Umbreon Bale was quick to begin. Magic Myer, Mini Dozer and Royal Village collided soon after the start. Magic Myer and Mini Dozer collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Royal Village, Delta Bad Hand and Propensity collided on the first turn, checking Royal Village, and severely checking Delta Bad Hand and Propensity, Royal Village raced wide as a result. Mini Dozer raced wide in the home straight. 

A pre race sample was taken from Blue Reef.

Diesel Turbo and Brousko were slow to begin. Blue Reef, Angelic Hand and Zulu Zoe collided on the first turn, checking Blue Reef, and severely checking Angelic Hand and Zulu Zoe, Angelic Hand raced wide as a result. Purple Hand and Diesel Turbo collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds, and causing them to race wide as a result. Purple Hand checked off Blue Reef on the third turn. Fool Proof and Lochinvar Rox collided entering the home straight. 

A pre race sample was taken from Go Go Danni.

Wolfbane McCabe and Paddles Anderson were slow to begin. Loving Angels and So Far Away were quick to begin. Go Go Danni and Woofenden collided approaching the first turn, checking Woofenden. Da Mishka and Wolfbane McCabe collided on the first turn, checking Wolfbane McCabe, and severely checking Da Mishka and Go Go Danni. Triple Cee raced wide on the first turn, and again on the home turn. Da Mishka burshed the running rail on the home turn. Triple Cee raced wide in the home straight.

Triple Cee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn right front toe nail, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Fiesty Ivy.

Jimmy Vella was slow to begin. Snowy Hunt, One More Des, Dr. Balboa and Boris Lee collided approaching the first turn, checking One More Des, Dr. Balboa and Boris Lee. Ima Wildfire and Jimmy Vella collided on the first turn, checking Jimmy Vella and Fiesty Ivy. One More Des and Dr. Balboa collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. 

A pre race sample was taken from Allen Boydy.

Allen Boydy was slow to begin. Dash Of Scotch, Sir Richard and Become The Fuse collided soon after the start, checking Dash Of Scotch. Dash Of Scotch raced wide on the first turn. Sir Richard and Guard Your Path collided on the second turn, checking Sir Richard. Allen Boydy, Guard Your Path and Diegonator collided on the third turn, checking Guard Your Path. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Kim Kadash, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Seven Two and Lemon Paw were slow to begin. Sonic Fantasy and Kim Kadash collided approaching the first turn. Cosmea, Coolan Boy and Kim Kadash collided on the first turn, checking Kim Kadash, and severely checking Cosmea and Lemon Paw, both greyhounds fell as a result. Sonic Pirate and Kim Kadash collided in the back straight. 

Cosmea was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Lemon Paw was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder and an abrasion to the left wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Le Sands.

Roma Girl and Le Sands were quick to begin. Allen Clown and Needs Wings were slow to begin. Roma Girl, Le Sands and Beljay Fantasy collided approaching the first turn, checking Beljay Fantasy. Desert Spike and Hollywood Jones collided on the first turn, checking Hollywood Jones and Needs Wings. Needs Wings faltered approaching the winning post. 

Needs Wings was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Tumble And Dry.

Tumble And Dry and Tekki Cloud collided soon after the start. Emilia Cash and Phil's In Luck collided on the first turn, checking Emilia Cash. Really Magic and Phil's In Luck collided on the home turn. Tumble And Dry raced wide in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Pollutro, the trainer of Nitro Hook regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nitro Hook last raced on 19th September 2016. Mr. Pollutro stated that the greyhound was incovering from a left hind toe injury.

Nitro Hook was slow to begin. Lil Tay and Enchanted Lass collided soon after the start. Lil Tay and Nitro Hook collided on the first turn. Premo Potion, Enchanted Lass and One More Tom collided approaching the home turn, checking Premo Potion. 

A sample was taken from Just Smile - the winner of the event. 

A pre race sample was taken from Splash Of Blue.

Bob's Gift was quick to begin. Splash Of Blue and Nobu were slow to begin. Splash Of Blue checked off Spot Of Magic approaching the first turn. Little Pookie and Cool Boots collided on the first turn, severely checking Cool Boots. Nobu and Splash Of Blue collided on the first turn, severely checking Splash Of Blue. Nobu checked off Spot Of Magic on the home turn, checking Nobu and Cool Boots. 

Splash Of Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left elbow, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Phillip Keeping. 

Slick Diamond and Odin Blaze were slow to begin. Showgirl Miss and Phillip Keeping collided approaching the first turn. Ultimate Conor and Izumi collided approaching the first turn. Odin Blaze and Move That Energy collided approaching the first turn, checking Odin Blaze, which contacted the running and fell as a result. Slick Diamond and Ultimate Conor collided approaching the winning post.  

Odin Blaze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an open wound left femur fracture, and was humanely euthanased.
