The track curator advised that the track was power harrowed and top dressed on Friday 11th December, 2015.

Ma Ma Marty, Aeroplane Tommy and Sisco Blast were slow to begin.  Miss Zoe checked off Cruisy's Empress soon after the start.  Ma Ma Marty checked off Sisco Blast approaching the first turn.  Jack's Rainbow and Cruisy's Empress collided approaching the first turn.  Cruisy's Empress checked off Cheers Bryan on the first turn and collided with Aeroplane Tommy.  Sisco Blast galloped on the heels of Cruisy's Empress on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Destini Tenor raced wide approaching the winning post.

Destini Baritone, Wise One and Southwood Max collided soon after the start checking Southwood Max.  Wise One checked off Lawbringer on the first turn checking Southwood Max.  Regal Hussler checked off Von Schnitzel approaching the home turn.  Super Duper Gal checked off Regal Hussler approaching the home turn.  Von Schnitzel raced wide on the home turn.  Evening Major checked off Destini Baritone entering the home straight.  Southwood Max and Lawbringer collided in the home straight.

Von Schnitzel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ripped and Da Swan were slow to begin.  Mad Bekim and Forever Loved collided soon after the start.  Baby Blitzen and Forever Loved collided approaching the first turn.  Mad Bekim checked off Baby Blitzen on the first turn.  Baby Blitzen and Mad Bekim collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Calahan Rocks crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Toothless Homer, Baby Blitzen and Da Swan.  Calahan Rocks galloped on the heels of Forever Loved entering the back straight.  Toothless Homer galloped on the heels of Kinloch Kaiyo in the back straight checking Toothless Homer and severely checking Kinloch Kaiyo.  Forever Loved checked off Ripped on the second turn.

Kinloch Kaiyo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Baby Blitzen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Toothless Homer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Liquid Diamond was quick to begin.  Dark Tantra and Phlogiston were slow to begin.  Ok Ollie stumbled soon after the start.  Instant Allen checked off Saywah Tonayo on the first turn.  Liquid Diamond checked off Dark Tantra approaching the home turn.  Instant Allen checked off Carmalina entering the home straight.  Phlogiston failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Instant Allen..

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Coulson, the representative of Phlogiston regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Phlogiston was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Phlogiston with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Coulson pleaded not guilty to the charge..  Phlogiston was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Liquid Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Barbara, handler of Liquid Diamond regarding the greyhound performing below market expectations. Mr. Barbara stated that he was dissapointed with Liquid Diamond's performance today and felt that the greyhound was not suited to the slow  track conditions. He added that it was Liquid Diamond's first race for nearly a month and in his opinion the greyhound will derive benefit from today's run. 

Lynlea Jake, Lever Action and Rain Stream collided soon after the start.  Sir Bridgborn checked off Midwinter approaching the first turn.  Lynlea Jake, Lever Action, Rain Stream and Echelonic Action collided approaching the first turn checking Rain Stream.  Sir Bridgborn checked off Midwinter entering the back straight checking Lynlea Jake.  Midwinter and Big Barking Bert collided in the back straight.  Wince Allen, Lynlea Jake and Sir Bridgborn collided on the second turn checking Lynlea Jake, Sir Bridgborn and Rain Stream.  Lever Action and Echelonic Action collided approaching the home turn.

Rain Stream, which tired over the concluding stages of the event, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right thigh and left shoulder.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Tanner's Ace and Sharnica were quick to begin.  Bojack Kahn and Iona Blackflash collided approaching the first turn checking Bojack Kahn.  Morning Cruise checked off Jack Winter on the first turn checking Flashy Arrow.  Sharnica and Jack Winter collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

A sample was taken from Tanner's Ace, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Azzopardi, the trainer of Kobyetta regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kobyetta last raced on 11th September, 2015.  Mr. Azzopardi stated that Kobyetta was returning to race following an injury to the right shoulder.

Initial Factor and Zac's A Sixpence collided approaching the first turn.  Zac's A Sixpence, Swan To Steele, Kobyetta and Abbie's Dream collided on the first turn checking Kobyetta.  Initial Factor clipped the heels of Zac's A Sixpence approaching the second turn causing Initial Factor to stumble.  Tango And Cash and Zac's A Sixpence collided on the second turn.  Initial Factor checked off Tango And Cash approaching the home turn checking Abbie's Dream.  Kobyetta raced wide on the home turn.  Just A Dot checked off Swan To Steele approaching the winning post.  Just A Dot and Zac's A Sixpence collided approaching the winning post.

Rosie Rocks was quick to begin.  Ezy Beach was slow to begin.  Begin Again, Seabrook Joel and Cruisy's Luck collided approaching the first turn checking Begin Again.  Seabrook Joel and Cruisy's Luck collided on the first turn.  Shout Out Loud and Begin Again collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ezy Beach checked off Allen Icarus on the first turn.  Seabrook Joel, Allen Icarus and Cruisy's Luck collided on the first turn checking Cruisy's Luck.  Seabrook Joel and Allen Icarus collided approaching the home turn checking Seabrook Joel.  Ezy Beach and Seabrook Joel collided in the home straight.

Shout Out Loud was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Slick Ice and Cosmic Spur collided soon after the start.  Brother Moses and Wrecking Ralph collided soon after the start.  Who's That Chap and Stolen Gem collided approaching the first turn.  Wrecking Ralph checked off Stolen Gem approaching the first turn and collided with Brother Moses; Brother Moses and Wrecking Ralph were checked as a result.  Who's That Chap and Mepunga Nick collided on the home turn.

 The track was amended to good at 2.55pm.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fabstar.

Argenta, Mr. Snackman and Oriental Lord were slow to begin.  Argenta, Seabrook Snow and Fabstar collided approaching the first turn.  Argenta checked off Seabrook Snow on the first turn.  Fabstar and Sofa So Good collided on the first turn checking Sofa So Good.  Argenta, Sofa So Good and Oriental Lord collided approaching the home turn checking Sofa So Good.  Noonbarra Joe checked off Wez Gordy approaching the home turn.  Fabstar and Seabrook Snow collided in the home straight checking Fabstar.

Fabstar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shooulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Snackman was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder and right thigh.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Omega Clover.

My Names Schultz, Pingu and Omega Clover collided soon after the start.  Ice Cold Bundy, My Names Schultz, Omega Clover and Going Cosmic collided on the first turn checking Going Cosmic.  Ice Cold Bundy, My Names Schultz and Iona Machine collided on the first turn checking Iona Machine and Pingu and severely checking My Names Schultz which fell as a result.  Ice Cold Bundy checked off Buckle In approaching the home turn.  Omega Clover and Audreana collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Omega Clover.

My Names Schultz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Bullet Express and Zelemar Leap collided soon after the start.  Lord Regnar, Bullet Express and Zelemar Leap collided approaching the first turn checking Bullet Express and Zelemar Leap.  Eight Hours checked off Elite Circle approaching the first turn.  Elite Circle and Solar Rapid collided on the first turn checking Solar Rapid which faltered and tailed off as a result.  Lord Regnar checked off Hashtag Danny approaching the home turn.

Solar Rapid was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left shoulder.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trials

White About Now trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.43.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.25 lengths.  What About Now was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Partridge, the trainer of Belena Lad regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Belena Lad last raced on 23rd February 2015. Mr. Partridge stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right back muscle injury. 

Pursuant to GAR 77(A), Belena Lad  trialled over the 390 metre distance from  box 2, weight 31.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.43. The greyhound won by a margin of 4.25 lengths.  Belena Lad was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Hardy, the trainer of Black Sheep regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Black Sheep last raced on 18th May 2015.  Mr. Hardy stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after suffering a right shoulder injury.

Pursuant to GAR 77(A), Black Sheep  trialled over the 390 metre distance from  box 3, weight 29.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.43. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.5 lengths.  Black Sheep was cleared
