Cosmic Rebel and Dig Deep Bert were slow to begin.  Kraken Nitro, Kalimna Sprite, Glamorous Cheech, Darcon Dash and Four Elements collided approaching the first turn checking Kalimna Sprite and Glamorous Cheech.  Kraken Nitro, Darcon Dash and Volta Allen collided on the first turn checking Darcon Dash, Four Elements, Cosmic Rebel and Dig Deep Bert.  Glamorous Cheech and Four Elements collided approaching the second turn.  Kraken Nitro and Darcon Dash collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Kraken Nitro, Kalimna Sprite, Glamorous Cheech and Four Elements.  Darcon Dash failed to pursue to the lure approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.  Kraken Nitro crossed to the outside on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Conway, the trainer of Darcon Dash regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn and in the home straight. Darcon Dash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right shoulder and left calf.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Darcon Dash with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Conway pleaded guilty to the charge.  Darcon Dash was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Volta Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
