Steward's Report
Redhot Pursuit was a late scratching at 6.27pm by order of Stewards. No stand down penalty was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Borg, trainer of the greyhound Redhot Pursuit after it was established that he had presented the incorrect greyhound at kennelling. Stewards issued a charge pursuant to GAR 86(o) in that as the trainer of Redhot Pursuit he was negligent in that he failed to present the correct gryhound, resulting in the late scratching of Redhot Pursuit. Mr Borg pleaded guilty to the charge and was subsequently found guilty. Stewards fined Mr Borg the sum of $200.
Dr. Lucious and Blitzem Cola collided soon after the start checking Dr. Lucious. Move That Energy, Major Moe, Blitzem Cola and Call Me Swift collided approaching the first turn checking Major Moe. Major Moe and Marlow's Express collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Call Me Swift checked off Move That Energy approaching the first turn. Blitzem Cola and Call Me Swift collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
