Pop Ya Bubble and Snaphook Sticka collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Gangster Gun, Emily's Kitty and Call Me Lily collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Pop Ya Bubble crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Pop Ya Bubble and Gangster Gun collided approaching the 200m mark, checking both greyhounds. Pop Ya Bubble and Emily's Kitty collided at the 150m mark. Pop Ya Bubble and Gangster Gun collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Braithwaite, trainer of the greyhound Fear Me Roar, which performed above market expectations. Mr Braithwaite stated that the greyhound has a good record at Healesville and that he expected the greyhound to perform well as it had been racing forward in races over 350m before being run down. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Braithwaite and directed that a post race sample be taken.
