Dynamite Zara was a late scratching at 12.37pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to spike wounds to the right hind paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr G. Johnson, trainer of the greyhound Final Deception redeclared a new weight of 32.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Final Deception last raced at 30.4kg.

Shifty Lilly, Dr. Logan and Final Deception were slow to begin.  Dr. Logan, Ava's Angel, Dub and Emi's Boy Badger collided soon after the start.  Emi's Boy Badger and Dr. Toretto collided at the 300m mark. Shifty Lilly, Dr. Logan and Ava's Angel collided at the 300m mark, severely checking Dr. Logan.  Dub and Emi's Boy Badger collided several times from the 250m mark until the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to Ms J Gill, trainer of Dr. Toretto after there was no catcher for the greyhound. Stewards were of the opinion that this was due to a misunderstanding and no further action was taken other than to advise Ms Gill that it would be in her best interest to record who she enagages to catch.

Dr. Phil and Conspiracy collided at the 300m mark.  Starzar Diamonds and Dr. Phil collided approaching the 150m mark, checking Starzar Diamonds.

Sisco Legend was a late scratching at 11.21am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer A Marum was fined the sum of $100.

King Size Shambi was slow to begin.  Dozer Tron, Magic Is Might and Dr. Don collided severeal times from the 300m mark until approaching the 100m mark, checking all three greyhounds.  Dozer Tron checked off Dr. Don at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr M Braithwaite, trainer of the greyhound Fear Me Roar, which performed above market expectations. Mr Braithwaite stated that the greyhound has a good record at Healesville and that he expected the greyhound to perform well as it had been racing forward in races over 350m before being run down. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Braithwaite and directed that a post race sample be taken.
