Stewards spoke to Mrs. J Riches, the trainer of Arolok Ollie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Arolok Ollie last raced on the 18th August 2015. Mrs. Riches stated that the greyhound was recovering from an injured to the left hind leg.

Mega Jewels and Quizzical were quick to begin. Saywah Tonayo and Arolok Ollie collided soon after the start. Saywah Tonayo, Arolok Ollie and Sweeping Strikes collided soon after the start.
