Stewards spoke to Mr J Collins, the representative of the greyhound Oity Allen regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Oity Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right foreleg monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Oity Allen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr J Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Oity Allen was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Senni William was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg thigh injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Collins,  the trainer of Elrond Bale, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Elrond Bale last raced on 29 October 2016.  Mr Collins stated the greyhound was resuming racing following an injury to the right hock.

The photofinish failed to capture an image for this event.  The Judge used the video system to determine placings.

Chelsea Drogba was slow to begin.  Elrond Bale and Luck's Run Out collided soon after the start.  Kyl's Me Mate, Fearless Flyer and Allen Varmint collided soon after the start, checking Fearless Flyer.  Allen Varmint and Lass Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Fearless Flyer raced wide on the first turn and lost considerable ground.  Kyl's Me Mate checked off Allen Varmint approaching the home turn.  Allen Varmint and Lass Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Fearless Flyer, which performed below market expectations, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg wrist and left foreleg monkey muscle injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Roller Bale was slow to begin.  Silver Squiggle and Regional Chief collided soon after the start.  Roller Bale, Silver Squiggle and Fastnet Kahn collided approaching the first turn, checking Fastnet Kahn.  Regional Chief and Scot's Dunker collided on the first turn.  Roll 'Em Maggie and Roller Bale collided on the first turn.  Scot's Dunker, Roll 'Em Maggie and Roller Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Fastnet Kahn raced wide on the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to G Bumpstead, the trainer of Ava's Girl regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Ava's Girl last raced in May, 2016.  Mr. Bumpstead stated that the greyhound is resuming racing after an extended spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Ava's Girl trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 27.2kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:39, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.25.  Ava's Girl was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Push The Trolley trialled over the 390m from box three, weight 34.0kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:39, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 23.25.  Push The Trolley was Not Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Baroness Jill trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 28.0kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:39, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75.  Baroness Jill was Cleared.
