Ariki Whero, Shocking Onyx and Blazing Lane collided soon after the start checking Blazing Lane. Shocking Onyx, Charly Shu Shine and Call Me Boz collided soon after the start, severely checking Call Me Boz. Blazing Lane galloped on the heels of Charly Shu Shine approaching the first turn checking Charly Shu Shine and Shocking Onyx. Supervisor and Hammer Hawke collided on the first turn. Cindy's Zafonic, Charly Shu Shine, Shocking Onyx, Call Me Boz and Blazing Lane collided on the first turn checking Cindy's Zafonic and Blazing Lane. Ariki Whero checked off Call Me Boz approaching the home turn, severely checking Call Me Boz. Hammer Hawke raced wide in the home straight.
Call Me Boz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor spike wound to the right fore, no stand down period was imposed.
