Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Ma Ma Keogh upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Ma Ma Keogh, Handpass and Goldenpaw Jet were slow to begin. Handpass and Goldenpaw Jet collided soon after the start. Mega Jewels and Crump's Rose collided soon after the start. Handpass and Southwood Hazel collided on the first turn, checking Southwood Hazel. Handpass and Tear Away Socks collided on the first turn, checking Tear Away Socks. Goldenpaw Jet checked off Tear Away Socks approaching the home turn, checking Ma Ma Keogh. Crump's Rose checked off Mega Jewels in the home straight.
Southwood Hazel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
