Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Dukestar.
Chucky Thump was quick to begin. All About Corey and Fabra Cadabra were slow to begin. Boomer Hargen crossed in soon after the start checking Dukestar and Boomer Hargen. Fabra Cadabra was checked off Boomer Hargen approaching the first turn. Dukestar and Boomer Hargen collided on the first turn severely checking Boomer Hargen which fell as a result. All About Corey was checked off Vivian Shiraz on the home turn. Vivian Shiraz and Chucky Thump collided on the home turn. Chucky Thump and Shaniqua collided in the home straight. Chucky Thump marred Vivvian Shiraz twice in the home straight. Fabra Cadabra raced wide in the home straight.
Boomer Hargen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left deltoid muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Chucky Thump was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Majoor the trainer of the greyhound Chucky Thump regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Chucky Thump with marring. Mr. Majoor pleaded guilty to the charge, Chucky Thump was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
