Steward's Report
Maximum Melva was a late scratching at 3:03pm by Order of Stewards after it was established the greyhound was not presented for its engagement. At a subsequent inquiry Stewards charged trainer Anita Courts under GAR 86(o) for failing to present the greyhound which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Ms. Courts pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.
Mrs. J. Torr, trainer of Integrity Sal declared a new weight of 29.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Integrity Sal last raced at 28.5kgs.
Emi's Boy Badger was quick to begin. Sharina Bomber and Zelemar Zest collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Cam and Integrity Sal collided approaching the first turn checking Integrity Sal. Sharina Bomber, Zelemar Zest and Crackerjack Cam collided approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Cam. Zelemar Zest checked off Sharina Bomber on the first turn checking Crackerjack Cam and Time Taker. Crackerjack Cam checked off Zelemar Zest approaching the home turn checking Time Taker. Integrity Sal raced wide entering the home straight.
A pre race sample from Zelemar Zest was aborted due to veterinary assistance required for an injured greyhound. A post race sample was subsequently taken.
