Steward's Report

This meeting was deemed heat affected. The outside temperature was 19.1C degrees and the kennel temperature was 20.5C degrees at kennel closure.

Boom Flash was a late scratching at 6:06pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Rodney Clark was fined the sum of $100.

Sisco Rocco was a late scratching at 6:26pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Broulee Miss, Darb's The Man and Clovalley Granite were slow to begin. Darb's The Man and Clovalley Granite collided soon after the start, checking Darb's The Man. Backin' Bully crossed Holyfield appraoching the first turn, checking Holyfield. Broulee Miss and Backin' Bully collided on the first turn, checking Broulee Miss. Clovalley Granite, Holyfield and Sisco Rascal collided on the first turn, checking Holyfield and Sisco Rascal. Holyfield checked off Sisco Rascal on the home turn. Holyfield and Darb's The Man collided several times in the home straight.

Backin' Bully was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind dorsal toe and plantar (heel). A three-day stand down period was imposed.
