Steward's Report
Subsequent to all clear been given stewards became aware that during the running of the event the sprinklers malfunctioned and activated on the second turn. Stewards spoke to track curator Mr. M Pell who advised that there was a malfunction with that section of sprinklers.
A pre race sample was taken from Texas Rising.
Full Blown Turbo was quick to begin. Fabregas Lara, Elite Obama and Beer On Tap were slow to begin. Texas Rising and Cosmic Don collided on the first turn checking Texas Rising, Beer On Tap, Fabregas Lara and Elite Obama. Texas Rising, Fabregas Lara and Beer On Tap collided entering the back straight checking Fabregas Lara and Elite Obama. Kraken Titch galloped on the heels of Yancy Bale entering the back straight checking Kraken Titch. Kraken Titch and Beer On Tap collided on the second turn checking Beer On Tap. Fabregas Lara raced wide in the back straight. Kraken Titch and Beer On Tap collided on the second turn checking Kraken Titch.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Eyles regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Kraken Titch Stewards directed that Kraken Titch be boxed first in future events.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Stephens the trainer of Beer On Tap who was of the opinion that his greyhound had been inconvenienced by the sprinklers during the running of the event. After reviewing the head on and side on footage stewards were of the opinion that Beer On Tap has collided with Kraken Titch which resulted in Beer On Tap being checked.
