Mr. D Jarvis, trainer of Bolare declared a new weight of 30.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bolare last raced at 31.5kgs

Bolare and All Inn Hunter were slow to begin. Kraken Lil was very slow to begin (3L). Better Cruise, Trademark Bliss and Peter Yap collided soon after the start checking Better Cruise and Peter Yap. Peter Yap checked off Trademark Bliss approaching the first turn. Kraken Lil brushed the running rail on the first turn. Kraken Lil galloped on the heels of Better Cruise approaching the home turn. Parvati Grange crossed to the outside in the home straight and checked off Trademark Bliss. Kraken Lil raced wide in the home straight.

Opalia Bale was a late scratching at 2:11pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Inky was quick to begin. Midnight Marzy, Kraken Dynamite and Flick Some Cash were slow to begin. Ruby Rads, Midnight Marzy and Kraken Dynamite collided on the first turn severely checking Kraken Dynamite. Ruby Rads and Flick Some Cash collided on the second turn checking Ruby Rads. Inky and Midnight Marzy collided on the second turn checking Inky.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K Furness, the trainer of Markom regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Markom last raced on 5th September, 2016 and is returning to racing after a right triangle injury. 

A pre race sample was taken from Broadcast Ted.

Harry's Hammer was slow to begin. Markom and All Inn Tara collided soon after the start checking Markom. Taxi Jack, Ginza Lion and Broadcast Ted collided on the first turn checking Ginza Lion, Broadcast Ted and Cool Al. Cullquin Abbey raced wide in the home straight.

Harry's Hammer was vetted and re-vetted following the race 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained righ shin soreness. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed. 

Markom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles and left pencil, triangle and hip muscles. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Snippyliss and Billy Lid were quick to begin. Cosmic Lachy was slow to begin. Gidgee's Boss, Judy Bale, Taytor Tot and Billy Lid collided approaching the first turn checking Gidgee's Boss, Judy Bale and Taytor Tot. Gidgee's Bos galloped on Billy Lid on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Judy Bale was held up for a run and galloped on the heels of Monica Star approaching the home turn checking Judy Bale. Snippyliss and Cosmic Lachy collided on the first turn checking Snippyliss. Judy Bale and Monica Star collided in the home straight.

Tim Riggins was slow to begin. Ram Raider, Kraken Suzie, Ima Ebay, Violet Blue, Dynamite Zara and Reverend John collided approaching the first turn checking Kraken Suzie, Ima Ebay, Violet Blue, Yorgi and Tim Riggins. Ram Raider checked off Reverend John on the first turn. Kraken Suzie, Ima Ebay and Violet Blue collided on the first turn checking Kraken Suzie and Ima Ebay. Ima Ebay galloped on the heels of Violet Blue approaching the home turn. Kraken Suzie and Dynamite Zara collided approaching the home turn checking Dynamite Zara. Tim Riggins and Violet Blue collided in the home straight.

Zipping Ethan was slow to begin. Cosmic Chapta, Jellybean Jess, Golden Blaze and Silver Rockstar collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.

Taltarni Shiraz was quick to begin. Dawn Cruise was slow to begin. All Inn Piper and Pink Poppy collided approaching the first turn. Loosey Jabna and Heartbreak Love collided on the first turn checking Loosey Jabna and Heartbreak Love and severely checking Miss Pie and Daintree Alice. Heartbreak Love checked off Loosey Jabna and collided with Taltarni Shiraz on the home turn.

Heartbreak Hermy, Swift Bunny and Cullquin Frank were slow to begin. Fancy Bounce and Furious Jack collided on the first turn checking Fancy Bounce and Kilty's Tiger. Cullquin Frank raced wide in the back straight. Heartbreak Hermy and Furious Jack collided several times on the second turn. Furious Jack checked off Heartbreak Hermy on the home turn checking Cullquin Frank. Cullquin Frank raced wide in the home straight.

Faboom was a late scratching at 2:27pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a papilloma. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Phoebe Allen.

Blood Moon was quick to begin. Hemene, Big Roman and Mon Dasha were slow to begin. Hemene and Big Roman collided on the first turn checking Hemene. Dessy Fozz and Hunchback collided approaching the home turn checking Hunchback. Blood Moon and Hunchback collided on the home turn checking Blood Moon.

Hey Hey Fozz was quick to begin. Reality Thunder was slow to begin. Allen Xander and Janray Blue Nero collided soon after the start. Swift Knockout, Allen Xander and Janray Blue Nero collided several times approaching the first turn checking Allen Xander. Janray Blue Nero checked off Reality Thunder on the first turn. Chrissy Pee and Texta Arandt collided on the first turn. Denied Justice and Hey Hey Fozz collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds which raced wide as a result. Swift Knockout checked off Reality Thunder approaching the home turn. Janray Blue Nero raced wide approaching the home turn. Swift Knockout checked off Allen Xander approaching the home turn. Texta Arandt and Reality Thunder collided approaching the home turn checking Swift Knockout and severely checking Texta Arandt. Hey Hey Fozz raced wide in the home straight.

Janray Blue Nero was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the lateral left hind pad and injuries to both monkey muscles. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. R Matthews, the handler of Janray Blue Nero regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. 

Subsequent to all clear been given stewards became aware that during the running of the event the sprinklers malfunctioned and activated on the second turn. Stewards spoke to track curator Mr. M Pell who advised that there was a malfunction with that section of sprinklers.

Full Blown Turbo was quick to begin. Fabregas Lara, Elite Obama and Beer On Tap were slow to begin. Texas Rising and Cosmic Don collided on the first turn checking Texas Rising, Beer On Tap, Fabregas Lara and Elite Obama. Texas Rising, Fabregas Lara and Beer On Tap collided entering the back straight checking Fabregas Lara and Elite Obama. Kraken Titch galloped on the heels of Yancy Bale entering the back straight checking Kraken Titch. Kraken Titch and Beer On Tap collided on the second turn checking Beer On Tap. Fabregas Lara raced wide in the back straight. Kraken Titch and Beer On Tap collided on the second turn checking Kraken Titch.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Eyles regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Kraken Titch  Stewards directed that Kraken Titch be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Stephens the trainer of Beer On Tap who was of the opinion that his greyhound had been inconvenienced by the sprinklers during the running of the event. After reviewing the head on and side on footage stewards were of the opinion that Beer On Tap has collided with Kraken Titch which resulted in Beer On Tap being checked. 

Kraken Tilda and Cosmic Wish were slow to begin. Kimmy Cabang and Cosmic Wish collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Brodie John and Kraken Ridge collided entering the home straight. Kraken Betty and Brodie John collided approaching the winning post.
