Master Phelps crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Johnny's Return.  Johnny's Return crossed to the rail approaching the 300m mark and collided with Dr. Sherlock and Two Seasons.  Two Seasons and Johnny's Return collided at the 200m mark.  Splash Of Blue, Johnny's Return and Two Seasons collided approaching the winning post.

Fuelish was a late scratching at 11:03am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer K. Hellmuth was fined the sum of $100.

Dr. Walter and Wahlberg collided soon after the start.  Dynamite Dozer crossed to the rail approaching the 300m mark and collided with Weldun Son.  Emily's Kitty faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off.  Wahlberg failed to pursue the lure with due commitment at the 250m mark.

Emily's Kitty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to L Shingles, the representative of the greyhound Wahlberg regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 250m mark. Wahlberg was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Wahlberg with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  L Shingles pleaded guilty to the charge, Wahlberg was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dontron was slow to begin.  Dontron and Mystic Quality collided soon after the start.  Tommy Two crossed to the outside soon after the start and continued to collided with Lucky Tetris until the 250m mark.  Tommy Two raced wide for the remainder of the race.  Selynya Prince and Blue Westmead collided at the 200m mark.  Mystic Quality checked off Selynya Prince at the 150m mark.  Selynya Prince checked off Dozer Lad approaching the winning post.

To The Galo's was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind webbing, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Moss, the trainer of Simply Slealth regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound for this event. Mr. Moss explained that he is still recovering after being hospitalised and was unable to engage an additional person to handle Simply Stealth as he had two greyhounds engaged in this event. Given the delay in boxing his greyhound Stewards issued Mr. Moss with a warning.

Bambalam Emma and Groucho collided soon after the start, checking Bambalam Emma and causing Dr. Poppel to fall.  Burekup Jack and Urban Street collided approaching the 300m mark.  Puzzle And Me and Groucho collided approaching the winning post.

Dr. Poppel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Morris-Flynn, the trainer of Queen Kaboom regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Queen Kaboom last raced on 3 March 2016 and is returning from a left back muscle injury. Stewards noted that the greyhound passed a clearance trial at Goulburn on 20 September 2016.

Mr. S. Humphries, trainer of Seriosly Wicked declared a new weight of 31.0 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Seriously Wicked last raced at 29.6.

Astute Glib and Bear Magic collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark.  Dashing Diamond, Uncatchable, Astute Glib and Bear Magic collided at the 200m mark.

Krank Panda was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left forearm, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Astute Glib was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was on season, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
