Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from West Side Jet.
West Side Jet was quick to begin. Blitzen Bell, Five Mississippi and Seabrook Dill collided soon after the start checking Five Mississippi. Cosmic Josie checked off Patchie Kaye approaching the first turn severely checking Kimmy Cabang and Five Mississippi. Blitzen Bell and Seabrook Dill collided approaching the home turn checking Blitzen Bell. Five Mississippi raced wide on the home turn and collided with Kimmy Cabang several times as a result.
Five Mississippi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left sartorius muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K. Miller, the trainer of Five Mississippi regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.
Kimmy Cabang was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
