Five Mississippi was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left sartorius muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K. Miller, the trainer of Five Mississippi regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.

Kimmy Cabang was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Gunsblaze upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling -  a pre race sample was subsequently taken.

Tredgar was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Coopnarcha, Suspicious Sam and We Froff Dat collided soon after the start.  Gunsblaze and Telling Lies collided approaching the first turn checking Gunsblaze.  Gunsblaze checked off Telling Lies on the first turn.  Telling Lies and Coopnarcha collided on the home turn checking Coopnarcha.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Chircop, the trainer of Living Breathing regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Living Breathing last raced on 19th March, 2016.  Mr. Chircop stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being new to his kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Living Breathing trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 33.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.73.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18.5 lengths.  Living Breathing was not cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Elleman, the kennel representative of Scott Fortitude regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Scott Fortitude last raced on 19th March, 2016.  Mr. Elleman stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being new to the kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Scott Fortitude trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 24.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.73.  The greyhound won by a margin of 7 lengths.  Scott Fortitude was cleared.
