Steward's Report
Black Macoy was a late scratching at 6:27pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ernie Old, Barcia Beebee and Tear Away Babe were slow to begin. Allen Terminator and Lektra Blicavs collided approaching the first turn, checking Lektra Blicavs. Ernie Old, Banger Regis and Barcia Beebee collided on the first turn, checking Banger Regis and Barcia Beebee. Ernie Old and Tear Away Babe collided approaching the home turn, checking Ernie Old. Tear Away Babe checked off Lektra Blicavs on the home turn. Tear Away Babe and Lektra Blicavs collided several times in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Gaut regarding the direction that the greyhound Lektra Blicavs be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Allen Terminator, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
