Chelsea Drogba was slow to begin. Locked Out and Disco Diamond collided soon after the start, checking Locked Out. Pollos Hermanos and Meadows One collided soon after the start, checking Meadows One. Cuervo Shot checked off Mohinga Max on the first turn. Big Bad Dicko and Pollos Hermanos collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Chelsea Drogba checked off Cuervo Shot approaching the home turn, severely checking Pollos Hermanos and causing Big Bad Dicko to fall.
Big Bad Dicko was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
