Stewards spoke to Mr P.Trim, the trainer of Kooper's Crown regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Kooper's Crown last raced on 18th February, 2015. Mr Trim stated that Kooper's Crown had been seasonal several times since its last start.

Kraken Concord and Cosmic Explorer were slow to begin. Seabrook Snow and All Inn Black collided soon after the start. Kraken Concord checked off All Inn Black on the first turn.
