Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Whitehead, the trainer of Lauren Kasey regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lauren Kasey last raced on 9th June, 2015. Mr. Whitehead stated that Lauren Kasey is returning to racing after being on season.
Mr. A. Whitehead, trainer of Lauren Kasey declared a new weight of 28.2kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lauren Kasey last raced at 26.4kg's.
Boofa Jack and Aqua Morgan were slow to begin. Revelling, Lauren Kasey and Unexcuseable collided soon after the start. Aqua Morgan checked off Stumble at the 300m mark, causing Aqua Morgan to cross to the rail. Revelling, Lauren Kasey and Boofa Jack collided at the 300m mark, checking Lauren Kasey. Ollie Boy and Tumble And Dry collided at the 200m mark. Revelling and Unexcuseable collided at the 200m mark. Ollie Boy eased approaching the 150m mark and collided with Tumble And Dry several times. Revelling checked off Unexcuseable at the 150m mark. Unexcuseable and Boofa Jack collided at the 100m mark. Ollie Boy eased approaching the winning post, checking Tumble And Dry.

Aqua Morgan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hip, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Ollie Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to C Paez, the trainer of the greyhound Ollie Boy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 150m mark and approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Ollie Boy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. C Paez pleaded not guilty to the charge, Ollie Boy was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to B Vandemaat, the trainer of the greyhound Aqua Morgan. Stewards deemed the performance of Aqua Morgan unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Aqua Morgan must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Vandemaart advised Stewards of his intention to retire the greyhound from racing.
