Invictus Rapid went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Invictus Rapid, Blown Away, Ima Lonley Girl, Aston Cruz and Duff Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Leonardo and Ima  Lonely Girl.  Duff Bale checked off Invictus Rapid entering the back straight.  Aston Cruz checked off Duff Bale approaching the third turn.  Aston Cruz and Blown Away collided approaching the home turn.  Blown Away checked off Duff Bale in the home straight.

City Rambler was quick to begin.  Chrichton Bale, Wind Whistler and By The Gallon collided soon after the start checking Wind Whistler.  City Rambler, By The Gallon and Chrichton Bale collided on the first turn checking Chrichton Bale, By The Gallon, Our Shiraz and Major Crush.  Wind Whistler and City Rambler collided approaching the fifth turn, approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking City Rambler and Our Shiraz.  By The Gallon eased approaching the winning post and collided with Chrichton Bale resulting in Chrichton Bale becoming unbalanced.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Dapiran, the trainer of the greyhound By The Gallon regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  By The Gallon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged By The Gallon with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Dapiran pleaded guilty to the charge.  By The Gallon was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound  perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards noted that the semaphore board for this event displayed Race 4 before it was corrected to Race 3 by the Judges and the All Clear was given.

Stan's Choice was quick to begin.  Linco Bale and It's A Plane were slow to begin.  Feikuai Polly, Linco Bale and It's A Plane collided approaching the first turn.  Spring Trail and Ninety Five collided approaching the first turn checking Ninety Five.  Feikuai Polly and Linco Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Linco Bale.  Feikuai Polly and Linco Bale collided approaching the fourth turn checking Feikuai Polly.  It's A Plane and Stan's Choice collided on the fifth turn checking Stan's Choice.  Stan's Choice and Sally Gardens collided approaching the home turn.  Feikuai Polly and Stan's Choice collided entering the home straight checking Stan's Choice.  Ninety Five and Sally Gardens collided in the home straight.

Stan's Choice, which tired over the concluding stages of the event, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stylish Shazz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. R. Drew, the trainer of Callum's Mum regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Stewards also noted that the muzzle of Callum's Mum became lodged in the greyhound's mouth during the running of the event.

Hession Boots was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Unaffordable, which performed below market expectations, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Minne, the trainer of Unaffordable who stated that he was disappointed with the greyhound's performance.  He further stated that this was the greyhound's first start at The Meadows and in his opinion this may have contributed to the greyhound's poor performance.

Ulla, Midwinter and Allen Membo were slow to begin.  All Inn Amy and Nitro Power collided soon after the start checking Nitro Power.  Valoshore and Hashtag Jordan collided on the first turn.  Ulla checked off Nitro Power approaching the second turn.  Valoshore, All Inn Amy and Nitro Power collided approaching the second turn checking All Inn Amy and Allen Membo.  Ulla checked off All Inn Amy entering the back straight and again approaching the third turn.

Allen Membo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ikari Spark was slow to begin.  Ponting's Nail, Dyna Fame and Dr. Des collided soon after the start checking Dyna Fame and Dr. Des.  Pointing's Nail and Penelopes Cruzn collided on the first turn checking Penelopes Cruzn and Dr. Des.  Ponting's Nail and Dyna Fame collided entering the back straight severely checking Ponting's Nail which stumbled as a result.  Ima Lonely Boy and Lass Bale collided on the third turn.

Ponting's Nail was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left quadriceps.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
