Steward's Report
Jarleth, Arcup Archer and Fear The Boss were slow to begin. Riverdale Storm was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Sisco Wander, Starlight Drive, Johnson Arandt and Arcup Archer collided approaching the first turn, checking Arcup Archer and Johnson Arandt. Jarleth, Arcup Archer and Johnson Arandt collided on the first turn, checking Arcup Archer and Johnson Arandt. Riverdale Storm checked off Johnson Arnadt approaching the home turn, checking Arcup Archer. Arcup Archer and Riverdale Storm collided entering the home straight, and again several times in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to G Hansen, the trainer of the greyhound Arcup Archer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Arcup Archer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the right fore leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Arcup Archer with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). G Hansen pleaded guilty to the charge, Arcup Archer was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
