Steward's Report
Zelemar Zing was quick to begin. Pingu, Karthikeyan and Chase The Breeze were slow to begin. Wobbler and Uncool Albert collided approaching the first turn. Karthikeyan, Uncool Albert and Wobbler collided on the first turn checking Uncool Albert, Wobbler and Pingu. Karthikeyan and Cosmic Bay collided approaching the home turn severely checking Karthikeyan. Wobbler checked off Pingu approaching the home turn. Karthikeyan checked off Chase The Breeze approaching the home turn. Cosmic Bay checked off Uncool Albert on the home turn and raced wide as a result. Karthikeyan galloped on the heels of Pingu in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Karthikeyan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
