Steward's Report
Mr. M. Giddings was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Xavi pursuant to GAR 33.
A pre race sample was taken from Mepunga Joffa.
Xavi was slow to begin. Jive Time, Cashin' In, Elite Shiraz and Mepunga Joffa collided soon after the start checking Jive Time and Cashin' In. Emio Bale, Crackerjack Pest and Argyle Lucifer collided on the first turn checking Emio Bale and Crackerjack Pest. Emio Bale, Crackerjack Pest and Elite Shiraz collided in the back straight checking Elite Shiraz and severely checking Crackerjack Pest. Xavi checked off Cashin' In in the back straight. Cashin' In checked off Jive Time approaching the second turn. Cashin' In, Mepunga Joffa and Xavi collided on the second turn checking Xavi. Crackerjack Pest and Xavi collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. George, handler of Xavi regarding his tardiness in boxing the greyhound. Mr. George stated that as he proceeded to box Xavi, the greyhound has made contact to his chin resulting him in boxing the greyhound slower than normal. Stewards noted his comments and took no further action.
