Latigo and Who Told Ronnie were slow to begin.  Merl's Blaze and Time Bandit collided soon after the start.  Time Bandit and Buca Doll collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Merl's Blaze, Time Bandit and Buca Doll collided on the first turn checking Merl's Blaze.  Merl's Blaze checked off Who Told Ronnie on the first turn.  Time Bandit, Buca Doll, Latigo and Ben's Talon collided on the first turn checking Time Bandit and Ben's Talon.  Time Bandit and Ben's Talon collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Lara's Lament eased on the home turn.  Buca Doll and Latigo collided entering the home straight checking Buca Doll and Hey Hey Fozz.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Lowe, the representative of the greyhound Lara's Lament regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Lara's Lament was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Lara's Lament with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Lowe pleaded guilty to the charge.  Lara's Lament was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Scotta Be Quick was quick to begin.  Black Legend and Crackerjack Boof were slow to begin.  Amari and Black Legend collided soon after the start.  Cosmic George checked off Amari on the first turn.  Gold Trail checked off Jack's Miss on the first turn.  Cosmic George and Black Legend collided on the first turn checking Black Legend.  Jack's Miss and Gold Trail collided approaching the home turn checking Gold Trail.  Gold Trail and Black Legend collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Gold Trail checked off Scotta Be Quick on the home turn.  Scotta Be Quick checked off Gold Trail on the home turn. Gold Trail and Black Legend collided entering the home straight checking Black Legend.

Amari, which fell in the catching pen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Samples were taken from the first two placegetters in this event - Amari (1st) and Jack's Miss (2nd).

Myalla Five, Gunfighter and Kraken Betty were slow to begin.  Gunfighter checked off Watsargo Sarge on the first turn checking Two Mississippi.  Calvin Candie and Watsargo Sarge collided approaching the home turn checking Watsargo Sarge.  Two Mississippi checked off Kraken Betty approaching the home turn.  Steady Walker, Calvin Candie and Patchie Kaye collided on the home turn checking Steady Walker and Kraken Betty.  Steady Walker and Myalla Five collided entering the home straight.

Belisarius and Crackerjack Ken were slow to begin.  Milly's Choice and Westlakes Nez collided approaching the home turn.  Belisarius and Full Blown Turbo collided approaching the home turn checking Belisarius.  Westlakes Nez checked off Milly's Choice in the home straight.

From the Dark checked off Just Run Left in the back straight checking From The Dark, Just Run Left and Kokoda Storm.

Mr. M. Wright was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound New Job Jimmy pursuant to GAR 33.

Ribacola was a late scratching at 1:27pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a cut on it's nose.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

New Job Jimmy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh and abrasions to its right hock.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K. Wright, the representative of the greyhound New Job Jimmy regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Ready Jet Go and Take Fright collided soon after the start.  Chubba Chops and Don's Racer collided soon after the start checking Chubba Chops.  Ready Jet Go raced wide on the first turn checking Mr. Swan.  Where's Savannah checked off Don's Racer on the home turn.  Ready Jet Go raced wide on the home turn checking Mr. Swan.  Ready Jet Go and Mr. Swan collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

A sample was taken from Jack's Pick, the winner of the event.

Tantanoola was a late scratching at 8:44am by Order of Stewards.

King Of Sunshine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Johnson, the trainer of Little Ginny regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Little Ginny last raced on the 4th of August, 2016.  Mr. Johnson stated that Little Ginny is returning to racing due to a hock injury.

Stress Star was slow to begin.  Little Ginny, Full Of Boloney and Tricky Trey collided soon after the start.  Tricky Trey and Roll 'Em Mighty collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Moments and severely checking Roll 'Em Mighty which stumbled as a result.  Little Ginny and Tricky Trey collided in the home straight checking Tricky Trey.  

Roll 'Em Mighty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its abdominal muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Leroy Tron and Barnie's Blaster were slow to begin.  Sparkling Kitty, Lucky's Spirit, Dulcet Sound and Pep Cee Kola collided soon after the start checking Lucky's Spirit and Dulcet Sound.  Pep Cee Kola and Fiery Nell collided on the first turn checking Pep Cee Kola.  Pep Cee Kola and Barnie's Blaster collided approaching the home turn checking Pep Cee Kola.  Senni William and Fiery Nell collided entering the home straight checking Fiery Nell.  Pep Cee Kola and Senni William collided approaching the winning post.
