Ms P Lowe, representative of trainer for Flowering Rose declared a new weight of 25.3kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Flowering Rose last raced at 24.1kg's.

Stewards spoke to Mr M Delbridge, the trainer of Dream Shanty regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dream Shanty last raced on 15 May 2016.  Mr Delbridge stated that the greyhound is returning to racing from a hip injury.

How Good She was slow to begin. Quiet Talk and Flowering Rose collided soon after the start. Flowering Rose checked off Quiet Talk soon after the start. Flowering Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Moneypenny and Striker Light were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Hollywood Jones, Smart Maxwell and Alpha Lucky collided soon after the start. Hollywood Jones checked off Alpha Lucky approaching the first turn.
