A pre-race sample was taken from Smash It.
Nelly Allen crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Queer Banana and Smash It. Maxziva faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground. Long Playboy and Quicksilver Miss collided on the first turn checking Quicksilver Miss and Queer Banana and severely checking Long Playboy. Premier Magpie and Dyna Jezabel collided on the first turn checking Dyna Jezabel. Nelly Allen and Quicksilver Miss collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn.
Maxziva was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dropped left back muscle, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.
