Bit Chili Billie and Rose Cabernet collided approaching the first turn severely checking Bit Chili Billie, Rose Cabernet, Kajore, Dyna Beth, Prue Bale and Jebrynah Glory.  Kajore and Rockem Holly collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dyna Beth and Bit Chili Billie collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to the lure driver Mr. M. Bickerdike regarding the positioning of the lure on the first turn.  Although the lure was closer than the required distance on the first turn this had no bearing on the result of the event.  Stewards took no further action.

Fancy Mojo, Emotional Lass and Lil' Bit Suna collided soon after the start checking Lil' Bit Suna.  African Wave crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Emotional Lass and Cooper's Paddy.  Denise Magic was checked off Benny Bowen on the first turn.  Denise Magic crossed to the outside on the home turn.  Lil' Bit Suna raced wide in the home straight.
