Stan's Choice was quick to begin. Dubsy Russell and Coffee Elizabeth collided approaching the first turn. Gangnam Style, Ima Screw Loose and Conquer Fear collided on the first turn, checking Gangnam Style and severely checking Ima Screw Loose, Dubsy Russell, Coffee Elizabeth and Hashtag Selfie; Coffee Elizabeth and Hashtag Selfie raced wide as a result. Dubsy Russell faltered on the second turn and pulled up, severely checking Ima Screw Loose, which tailed off as a result. Gangnam Style checked off Hashtag Selfie on the third turn.
