Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Carbon Racer, engaged in this event on 29 October, 2015 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Fast Boloney, Veetee Swift and Halt were slow to begin.
Carbon Racer and Veetee Swift collided soon after the start checking Veetee Swift. Carbon Racer and Halt collided on the first turn. Fast Boloney checked off Tronnie Oldfield on the first turn. Tronnie Oldfield raced wide approching the second turn. Fast Boloney and Kiowa Jones collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Starlight Lucy. Halt checked off Carbon Racer on the second turn. Veetee Swift checked off Halt on the second turn and raced wide. Carbon Racer and Halt collided on third turn and again approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Veetee Swift raced wide on the home turn. Carbon Racer and Halt collided approaching the winning post.
Veetee Swift was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Mr. J. Thompson trainer of Veetee Swift spoke with Stewards following the performance of his greyhound. Mr Thompson explained that the she has always managed to lead her trials and two race starts to date; he felt being slow away and the interference during the race contributed to the performance this evening. Stewards noted the explanation.
