Mr. E. Lieshout, trainer of Aston Park declared a new weight of 33.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Aston Park last raced at 31.4kgs.

Aeroplane Mick was quick to begin.  Happy Deejay and Kokoda Dawn were slow to begin.  Happy Deejay and Aston Park collided on the first turn.  Heads No Tail and Gold Magic collided on the first turn.  Happy Deejay checked off Aeroplane Mick approaching the home turn.  Aeroplane Mick and Aston Park collided approaching the home turn.  Aeroplane Mick and Kokoda Dawn collided on the home turn causing Aeroplane Mick to race wide and collide with Happy Deejay severely checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Bailey, trainer of Aeroplane Mick regarding the greyhound performing below market expectations.  Mr. Bailey stated that he hadn't supported the greyhound.  He further stated the greyhound was having only it's second race start and in his opinion is a highly excitable dog.     Stewards requested the greyhound to be vetted and ordered a swab sample to be taken.

Aeroplane Mick was vetted and after being re vetted following event 3,  it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to the trainer,  Mr. K. Bailey regarding the direction that the greyhound Aeroplane Mick be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Lakeview Bella was quick to begin.  Ronell Hubbard, Speed Blue and Master Pledge were slow to begin.  Our Guy, Lohan and Tiger Eyed Jack collided on the first turn.  Our Guy, Lohan and Tiger Eyed Jack collided approaching the home turn checking Tiger Eyed Jack.  Master Pledge checked off Lakeview Bella approaching the home turn.  Speed Blue checked off Tiger Eyed Jack approaching the home turn.  Lakeview Bella and Master Pledge collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight.

Cougar Stealth was slow to begin.  Aston Philou crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Reignlee and Flywheel Villain severely checking Beyond Manapa.  Chuck's Me Boy, Henry Lee and Cougar Stealth collided on the first turn.  Reignlee, Flywheel Villain and Aston Philou collided on the first turn checking Reignlee.  Henry Lee and Adara Lad collided several times approaching the home turn.  Aston Philou checked off Reignlee approaching the home turn.  Cougar Stealth and Aston Philou collided approaching the home turn.  Chuck's Me Boy, Cougar Stealth and Aston Philou collided on the home turn severely checking Chuck's Me Boy and Aston Philou.

Henry Lee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have back soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Beyond Galaxia and Gold Cup were slow to begin.  Stick Hero and Brandeen Roma collided approaching the first turn checking Brandeen Roma.  Gold Cup crossed to the outside on the first turn and collided with Brandeen Roma checking both greyhounds.  Beyond Galaxia and Stick Hero collided in the home straight checking Text Me Tony.  Stick Hero, Brandeen Roma and Text Me Tony collided in the home straight.

Sam Harper was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained slight split webbing middle toes right hind leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Moss, the trainer of Awesome Fear regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Awesome Fear last raced on 4th June, 2015.  Mr. Moss stated that the greyhound was returning from a left wrist injury.
