Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Rapid Roy.
Cosmic Daicos was slow to begin. Dig Deep Bert, King Enright and Rapid Roy collided soon after the start checking King Enright. Rapid Roy crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Dig Deep Bert, Zipping Noel and Soft Ballad. Dig Deep Bert and King Enright collided entering the back straight causing both greyhounds to race wide. Rapid Roy checked off Cosmic Daicos in the back straight. Zipping Noel checked off Rapid Roy on the second turn. Dig Deep Bert and King Enright collided approaching the home turn checking Dig Deep Bert. Cosmic Daicos raced wide in the home straight.
Due to the dead heat between the winning greyhounds (8 & 2) the judges experienced difficulty inputing the correct numbers to the semaphore board. All clear was given on the correct numbers 8, 2 (dead heated), 3 and 4 and the broadcaster was advised of the results.
