Sultan's Boy was quick to begin.  Ninetymile Saint and Sultan's Pride were slow to begin.  Bellini Martini and Dream Goal collided soon after the start.  Ninetymile Saint brushed the running rail soon after the start.  Sultan's Pride was checked off Lollipop approaching the first turn causing Sultan's Pride to race wide.  Ninetymile Saint galloped on Bellini Martini on the first turn checking Bellini Martini, Ninetymile Saint, Sultan's Boy and Lollipop.  Sultan's Boy and Lollipop collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Sultan's Pride raced wide throughout the event.

Sultan's Pride was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 4, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sultana the trainer of the greyhound Sultan's Pride.  Stewards deemed the performance of Sultan's Pride unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance wtih GAR 71 Stewards directed that Sultan's Pride must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bernmar Terry was a late scratching at 3.09pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. P. Borradale was fined the sum of $100.

Little Written, Hurricane Craig and Dee Tee Vane were quick to begin.  Barham Millich and Goorawin collided approaching the first turn checking Barham Millich.  Bossy Caleb and Lucky Andy collided approaching the first turn.  Dee Tee Vane was checked off Hurricane Craig on the first turn.  Lucky Andy raced wide on the first turn.  Dee Tee Vane and Bossy Caleb collided on the home turn checking Dee Tee Vane and Little Written. Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Houlahan regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Barham Millich.  Stewards directed that Barham Millich be boxed first in future events.

Quite White was a late scratching at 3.06pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature.  No Stand down period was imposed.

Can't Believe It, Hannah Bear and Boozetown Hound were slow to begin.  Johnny Scull and Three Scoops collided soon after the start.  Can't Believe It and Ima Ebay collided soon after the start.  Can't Believe It and Three Scoops collided approaching the first turn.  Can't Believe It and Three Scoops collided on the first turn causing Can't Believe It to race wide.  Ima Ebay was checked off There's Steamy on the first turn causing Ima Ebay to collide with Boozetown Hound.  Can't Believe It was checked off Boozetown Hound in the back staight.  Three Scoops and Can't Believe It collided approaching the third turn.

Willowvale Wings was quick to begin.  Oakmont Twister and Oakmont Fire were slow to begin.  Boris Lee and Wrong Given Way collided soon after the start.  Boris Lee, Wrong Given Way and Willowvale Wings collided approaching the first turn.  I'm So Late galloped on Wrong Given Way on the first turn checking Wrong Given Way and causing Oakmont Fire to collided with Wrong Given Way severely checking Oakmont Fire.  I'm So Late and Get Along Daisy collided on the home turn.  Wrong Given Way faltered on the home turn and subsequently tailed off.

Wrong Given Way was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated right hock and an injured right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Oakmont Fire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Condon the trainer of Gats Prodigy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Gats Prodigy last raced on 23/08/16.  Mr. Condon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Sinclair the trainer of Mignon regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mignon last raced on 27/08/16.  Mr. Sinclair stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following being on season and a change of kennel.

Mr. R. Bean the trainer of Sunset Believer declared a new weight of 27.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Sunset Believer last raced at 25.8kg.

Sunset Believer and Kev's Choice were slow to begin.  Kev's Choice was checked off Mignon approaching the first turn.  Gats Prodigy and Kev's Choice collided on the first turn checking Kev's Choice.  Kilmany Flyer, Zafonic Express and Gats Prodigy collided on the first turn checking Zafonic Express and Gats Prodigy.  Zafonic Express and Mignon collided in the back straight checking Mignon.  Zafonic Express was checked off Kilmany Flyer in the home straight.

Dr. Frankie was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race.  Acting under GAR 83 Stewards directed that a urine sample be taken from the greyhound.

Satisfactory trial results:-

Tree Climber Liv trialled over 315 metres from box 2, weight 30.1, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.13, the greyhound Won by a margin of 5.75 lengths.  Tree Climber Liv was cleared.

Gats Caviar trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 26.2, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.13, the greyhound Was beaten by a margin of 5.75 lengths.  Gats Caviar was cleared.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A):-

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Knocker the representative of Aston Gaudi regarding the length of time the greyhound last raced.  Aston Gaudi last raced on 11/05/16.  Mr. Knocker stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a broken on the right front foot.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Aston Gaudi trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 32.3, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 6.  The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.5 lengths. Aston Gaudi was cleared. 

Dr. Frankie trialled over 395 metres from box 8, weight 31.9, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 6.  The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound Was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Dr. Frankie was not cleared.
