Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M. Said, the trainer of Manhattan Man regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

Taylor Made Dee, July Allen, Starlight Jill, Farah and Carli collided soon after the start checking Taylor Made Dee, July Allen and Carli. July Allen checked off the heels of Bont's Magic on the first turn severely checking Bont's Magic. Taylor Made Dee, Carli and Bont's Magic collided approaching the home turn severely checking Taylor Made dee and Bont's Magic, Carli fell as a result. 

Taylor Made Dee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a right deltoid injury, and injuries to both groins. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Bont's Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle and injuries to both groins. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Carli was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left groin. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Holmes, the trainer of Wild Sarah regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Wild Sarah last raced on 6th August, 2016 and is returning to racing after a spell.

Senor Asher, Seabrook Indi, Coolan King and Wild Sarah collided soon after the start checking Coolan King and Wild Sarah. Coolan King and Wild Sarah raced wide approaching the first turn. Gone Rusty, Coolan King and Wild Sarah collided on the first turn checking Gone Rusty and Coolan King. Papa Chippy, Seabrook Indi and Anustar collided on the first turn checking Seabrook Indi and Anustar. Papa Chippy checked off Colluding on the home turn. Wild Sarah and Anustar collided on the home turn. Coolan King and Wild Sarah collided on the home turn and in the home straight. Papa Chippy, Colluding and Senor Asher collided in the home straight.

Senor Asher was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left groin. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Senor Asher became dislodged during the running of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. R. Gilmore, the representative of the greyhound Senor Asher.  Stewards deemed the performance of Senor Asher unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Senor Asher must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. In determining this decision, Stewards took into consideration the greyhound's veterinary stand down period and the fact that the muzzle of the greyhound became dislodged soon after the start.

Provenance was slow to begin. Scarce and Newcastle Ranger collided soon after the start. Kashmir Cashe and Man Down collided approaching the first turn. Riverside Mons, Aston Prada and Provenance collided approaching the first turn checking Riverside Mons. Kashmir Cashe checked off the heels of Miss Gypsy Lee on the first turn checking Miss Gypsy Lee and Kashmir Cashe. Miss Gypsy Lee and Kashmir Cashe collided on the home turn. Aston Prada checked off Riverside Mons on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J Birthisel, the trainer of Burrawonga Betoo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Burrawonga Betoo last raced on 28th July, 2016 and is returning to racing after a left hind leg injury.

Crackerjack Choc stumbled soon after the start. Barrier Reef, Queen Coriander and Kraken Tobias collided on the first turn checking Barrier Reef, Kraken Tobias and Crackerjack Choc. Burrawonga Betoo galloped on the heels of Just Smile approaching the home turn checking Burrawonga Betoo. Kraken Tobias and Barrier Reef collided several times approaching the home turn.

Interlaken, Menindee and Wild Josh were slow to begin. Interlaken and Menindee collided soon after the start. Bejay's Atom, Cardamom and Acey Boy collided soon after the start checking Beejay's Atom and Cardamom. Menindee checked off Forever Merry on the first turn checking Interlaken and severely checking Menindee.

Wolfpack, Burrawonga Kevan and Cheese Ya Later were slow to begin. Sally Gardens, Brakani and Cheese Ya Later collided on the first turn checking Brakani and Cheese Ya Later. Burrawonga Kevan raced wide in the back straight. Mr. Stealer, Ima Lonely Boy and Zebo Bale collided on the second turn checking Ima Lonely Boy. Sally Gardens and Cheese Ya Later collided approaching the home turn. Mr. Stealer and Zebo Bale collided approaching the home turn. Mr. Stealer, Ima Lonely Boy, Zebo Bale and Brakani collided on the home turn. Sally Gardens checked off Brakani in the home straight.

Cheese Ya Later was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cut to the left ear. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Destini Wahoo was slow to begin. Charley Arabali checked off the heels of Flaming Elite soon after the start checking Destini Wahoo. Nova Magic crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Flaming Elite, Lethal Spider, Emio Bale and Destini Wahoo. Lethal Spider, Emio Bale, Splash Da Cash and Hammer Hawke collided in the back straight checking Hammer Hawke and Emio Bale. Hammer Hawke raced wide entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Loosey Jabna was slow to begin. Charlie Rocket and Stelio Kontos collided soon after the start. Sofia The First and Aggi Den collided approaching the first turn. Aggi Den checked off Sofia The First on the first turn. Stelio Kontos and Aggi Den collided on the home turn checking Aggi Den. Coolan Flash and Brazen Bull collided on the home turn. Aggi Den raced wide in the home straight.

Watta Rush was slow to begin. Become The Fuse and Seabrook Eb collided soon after the start checking Become The Fuse. Burrawonga Jimbo checked off Noonbarra Joe approaching the first turn. Burrawonga Jimbo and Seabrook Eb collided approaching the first turn. Ultimate Billy and Pretty Boy Grigg collided approaching the home turn. Watta Rush checked off Pretty Boy Grigg on the home turn and collided with Burrawonga Jimbo. Watta Rush and Burrawonga Jimbo collided in the home straight. Watta Rush and Seabrook Eb collided in the home straight.

Become the Fuse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain, a right triangle injury and right groin injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Mr. G. Edwards was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound Miss Pepperoni pursuant to GAR 33.

Jesterday was slow to begin. Jesterday checked off Wise Harry soon after the start. Aston Ah Chee and Wise Harry collided soon after the start checking Wise Harry. Wise Harry checked off Toshulan on the first turn. Toshulan galloped on the heels of Miss Pepperoni on the first turn checking Aston Ah Chee and Jesterday and severely checking Crackerjack Roy, Miss Pepperoni, Toshulan and Wise Harry. Crackerjack Roy stumbled as a result. Miss Pepperoni galloped on the heels of Wise Harry on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to handler Mr. G. Wild regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Cool Boots.  Stewards directed that Cool Boots be boxed first in future events.

Chain Of Fire was slow to begin. Chain Of Fire and Advice Aplenty collided soon after the start and again several times approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Chain Of Fire. Darra Ash and Sub Zero Magic collided several times approaching the home turn checking Darra Ash.

Chain Of Fire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a left pencil muscle injury and a right groin muscle injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
