Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Carr, the trainer of Reality Girl regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Reality Girl last raced on 7th July, 2016. Ms. Carr stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after an injury to its right foreleg.
Mr. K. Lloyd, trainer's representative of Meteor Thunder declared a new weight of 30.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Meteor Thunder last raced at 29.2kgs.
Scotta Be Quick was quick to begin. Crackerjack Boof was slow to begin. Vectis Secret, Rangiora and Five Mississippi collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Rangiora and Five Mississippi. Five Mississippi and Crackerjack Boof collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Boof. Scotta Be Quick and Lektra Dizzy collided on the first turn checking Scotta Be Quick.
Scotta Be Quick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left hamstring. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
