Harry's Hammer went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Harry's Hammer and Howie Bale collided soon after the start. Riverdale Banjo, Harry's Hammer, Howie Bale and Allen Simon collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Riverdale Banjo and Harry's Hammer. Cosmo Lass, Fess Crockett and Howie Bale collided on the first turn checking Cosmo Lass and Fess Crockett. Cosmo Lass raced wide in the home straight.
Harry's Hammer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
