Stewards spoke to Mr W. Robertson, trainer of the greyhound Desperate Pete which had not raced since 22 June 2016. Mr Robertson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from an injury to the right forearm.

Mr. W. Robertson, trainer of Desperate Pet declared a new weight of 30.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Desperate Pete last raced at 31.7kg.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dee Blue Star trialled over the 500mt from box 8, weight 25.1kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 28.32, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 16L. Dee Blue Star was Not Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Surf In Vane trialled over the 500mt from box 1, weight 32.6kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 28.32, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.25L. Surf In Vane was Cleared.
