Steward's Report
Black Beard was slow to begin. Despedida, Encee Eye Gibbs and Rylee's Marshall collided soon after the start. Encee Eye Gibbs crossed to the rail at the 275 metre mark checking Black Beard. Rylee's Marshall and Inter Lucy collided at the 100 metre mark. Black Beard checked off Encee Eye Gibbs approaching the winning post.
Loose Affair was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Houlahan, the representative of Loose Affair regarding the greyhound's performance; noting that the greyhound had been injured today and at recent starts. Ms. Houlahan stated that the greyhound had been trialling satisfactorally and it was the first start for the greyhound under its current trainer, Mr. R. Johnson. Stewards took into consideration the greyhound being new to the kennel and took no further action.
